I was a victim of intimidation and bullying by the Lake County sheriff and a Carol Stream PD detective, among various other departments causing undue stress. Had been contacted by a person saying they were 16 and female after my roommate’s ad was removed from Craigslist. Then visited by two detectives of two different counties. I never shared photos, never had any interest in meeting a young person.
I’ve bee on forums for advice with former offenders and felt I’m not one of their kind. I feel my privacy has been invaded without due process. I’ve never been arrested. Under surveillance though.
