SCOTUSBlog: Interim Stat Pack

March 11, 2019, 7:56 pm

SCOTUSBlog, a resource for news and commentary of happenings at the Supreme Court of the United States, posted an “Interim Stat Pack” on the current (October 2018) term.

Imagine a sports scorecard that’s helpful in predicting an athlete or team’s performance – only this one applies to the highest Court in the land.

The stats show (among other things): Cases decided and cases pending by month and who wrote the opinions (Ruth Bader Ginsburg is in first place – run strong Ruth!), which Circuits are getting the most attention from the Court and whether they are getting mostly affirmed or reversed (our Circuit, the 11th, is 2 affirmed, one reversed), days between oral arguments and opinions (for those who impatiently wait for decisions to come out) and more.

You can find the Stat Pack here: https://www.scotusblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/InterimStatPack_3-11-19.pdf
