To Whom It May Concern,
My name is Latea Hentz, and I am urgently seeking help regarding my current legal situation, which has resulted in me being required to register as a sex offender. I am a single mother and a cancer survivor who is doing everything I can to provide stability for my children, but I am struggling to survive under the weight of what has happened to me.
This situation did not come from me trying to do anything wrong. It began when I was trying to protect my child from ongoing bullying within Warren Township schools. I sought legal help in good faith, believing I would be supported and properly guided through the legal system.
Instead, I found myself in a process where I was encouraged to sign documents without being given a real opportunity to fully review them with my attorney. I made it clear at the time that I had not received all documentation and intended to go over everything with legal counsel, but decisions were still pushed forward. I did not fully understand the long-term consequences of what I was signing.
As a result, I am now facing life-altering consequences, including being placed on the sex offender registry. This has severely impacted my ability to secure housing, find employment, and maintain a stable life for my children. It has also caused extreme emotional stress and fear about my future.
On top of this, I am dealing with ongoing health challenges related to cancer while raising my children on my own. I am trying to stay strong for my family, but I cannot navigate this situation alone anymore.
I am asking for real help—not sympathy. I need someone to review my case, explain my options, and determine if anything can be done to correct or improve my situation. I am willing to cooperate fully and provide any documentation necessary.
Specifically, I am seeking:
– A full legal review of my case
– Guidance on whether my rights were violated during the process
– Help with any possible appeal, modification, or relief from registry requirements
– Support in maintaining housing, employment, and stability for my children
I feel like I was not given a fair chance to fully understand or defend myself, and I am asking for the opportunity to be heard and properly represented.
Thank you for taking the time to consider my situation.
Sincerely,
Latea Hentz
