I'm new to this site if anything I state here is wrong please let me know.
My brother was snared last year in one of Floridas sex stings. I don't know if there has been an outcry on how men get entrapt and become sex offenders for lfe. My brothers case is still ongoing, I've read the cops (decoy) deposition and have read the chats thanks to my brother and find it ludicrous that they are labeling him as someone looking for a teen when he was using an adult dating app on his phone. He's urged police to go through his phone and do a complete forensic search so he can show he has never been interested in teens. The cop overstepped his boundaries and I'ts been hard on him and our family. Has anyone had a loved one gone through this? There are many mitigating circumstances some which violate due process. If anyone can jump in and give me some further insight I'd be grateful. He has a PD and cannot afford an experienced sting attorney.

Yes, unfortunately that is how it is in every state in the U.S. It is so totally illegal but you know what they say....cops can do and say anything.
